UP woman gangraped by four youths repeatedly in Baghpat
A 35-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat was allegedly gangraped several times by four youths from her village.
Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking incident, a 35-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat was allegedly gangraped several times by four youths from her village, police said on Friday.
The police said the victim was seeking a government job and was promised help by the accused.
According to the police, the woman, a divorcee, claimed in her complaint that on February 14, after 10 days on the job, the four men, who were identified as Saurabh, Kamal Shubam, and Sagar, came to her house and forced her to drink a cold beverage laced with drugs.
The suspect then allegedly gangraped the woman after she became unconscious and recorded the entire incident. According to the complaint, the men later threatened to release the video of her that they had shot if she told anyone about the incident.
Taking advantage of her situation, they raped the woman on several occasions and assaulted her whenever she resisted, it added.
Based on the woman’s complaint, the police lodged a case on Thursday against the accused, who are likely aged between 20 and 26 years, they said.
