This was seen during an opposition protest at parliament.

New Delhi: Trinamool MP Kalyan Banerjee on Tuesday was seen mimicking Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar in a video while Rahul Gandhi was taking the video on his mobile phone.

This was seen during an opposition protest at parliament. Banerjee is one of the 141 opposition MPs who have been suspended from parliament.

BJP posted the video on its official X handle and wrote, “If the country was wondering why Opposition MPs were suspended, here is the reason… TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee mocked the Honourable Vice President, while Rahul Gandhi lustily cheered him on. One can imagine how reckless and violative they have been of the House!”

The video earned criticism from X users. A user commented, “Rahul Gandhi is standing there not only laughing but making a video, this is the insult of the Vice President of India, what could be more shameful than this? I had heard that a child born to a foreign woman is not a patriot, but I also saw that he cannot respect constitutional posts and elders.”

“How much INDI block will become shameless? shouting inside the parliaments like roadside dogs. mocking and mimicking VP and Chairman RS Jagdeep Dhankar inside Parliament complex. And MP’s are laughing on insult of Vice-president. Trying to be neutral but here I can’t. Just disgusting,” commented another user.
