Jaipur: A 28-year-old man, identified as Dushyant Sharma was murdered in a Tinder date by his match Priya Seth and her accomplices in Jaipur. The relationship turned due to a web of lies, kidnapping, and extortion.

Dushyant, posing as the wealthy ‘Vivan Kohli’ on Tinder, and Priya, with sinister motives from the start, agreed to meet after three months of chatting. Little did Dushyant know that Priya had planned to kidnap him and extort money.

With the assistance of two accomplices, Dikshant Kamra and Lakshya Walia, Priya executed the kidnapping as soon as Dushyant entered the rented accommodation. The truth emerged when a ransom call exposed that Dushyant was not the wealthy businessman he claimed, and Priya had ulterior motives.

In a desperate attempt to extract Rs 10 lakh from Dushyant’s family, the kidnappers realized he wasn’t what he portrayed himself. The situation worsened when the family couldn’t meet the demand. Following this the accused stabbed Dushyant to death.

Dushyant’s father recounted receiving a distress call from his son, pleading for Rs 10 lakh to save his life. Despite depositing Rs 3 lakh, the perpetrators withdrew Rs 20,000 and, fearing exposure, took Dushyant’s life. His body was later discovered stuffed in a suitcase outside Jaipur.

Priya Seth, after being convicted, confessed to the crime, revealing the motive behind the murder. She explained that Dushyant’s false identity and misrepresented wealth led to the plan of kidnapping, ransom, and eventual murder. The trio was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Jaipur court after conviction.
