Raipur: The first work that I will do is to give 18 lakh ‘Awas’ to the people, said Chhattisgarh Chief Minister designate Vishnu Deo Sai today.

While speaking to the media persons soon after the Chhattisgarh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Legislature Party meeting named him to be the next CM, Vishnu Deo Sai said, “With all honesty I will work for ‘Sabka Vishwas’ and the promises made to the people of Chhattisgarh under ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ will be fulfilled.”

“As a CM of the state, we will try to fulfill the promises. The first work will be to give 18 lakh ‘Awas’ to the people and on December 25 the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a bonus for two years will be given to the farmers,” he added.

Sai has won from the Kunkuri assembly seat with 87604 votes. He was the Chhattisgarh state president of the saffron party from 2020 to 2022. He was the MLA between 1990 and 1998 and Lok Sabha MP in 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014.

This apart, Sai was also the Minister of State (MoS) for Steel, Mines, Labour and Employment in the first tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
