A Singapore bound flight took off hours ahead of schedule, leaving behind 35 passengers at the Amritsar airport

Amritsar: An Amritsar-Singapore flight allegedly took off hours before its scheduled time on Wednesday, leaving behind 35 passengers behind at Amritsar Airport.

A Scoot Airline Singapore bound flight which was originally scheduled to depart at 7.55 pm on Wednesday from the Amritsar Airport took off at 3 pm, three hours ahead of its departure time.

“DGCA is looking into the matter where a Scoot Airlines Singapore-bound flight took off hours ahead of schedule, leaving behind 35 passengers at the Amritsar airport,” DGCA said.

After Airport authorities contacted the airline officials, they were informed that the passengers were informed about the rescheduling via e-mail

“Around 280 passengers were to travel to Singapore but 253 passengers were rescheduled, leaving over 35 passengers behind,” informed Amritsar airport Director.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the aviation regulation, said that it is looking into the matter.

Earlier this month, a similar incident came to light from Bengaluru where a Delhi-bound Go First plane left the city airport without taking more than 50 passengers, who were waiting in the passenger coach for boarding.
