Pune: In a shocking incident, condoms, gutka and stones were allegedly found in samosas supplied to a major automobile firm in Pimpri Chinchwad in Pune.
The police officials said, a case has been lodged against five persons. The accused has been identified as Rahim Sheikh, Azhar Shaikh, Mazhar Shaikh, Firoz Shaikh and Vicky Shaikh.
According to preliminary police investigation, it is indicated that the adulteration was an act carried out by a sub-contractor whose supply contract had been terminated earlier.
During the investigation, it was found that the catering contractor Catalyst Service Solutions Pvt Ltd had given a sub-contract for the supply of samosas to a local entity named Manohar Enterprises.
“The three partners had allegedly planted these two workers Firoz Shaikh and Vicky Shaikh condoms, gutkas and stones in the samosas,” police said.
It was also revealed that the employees of SRA Enterprises Rahim Shaikh, Azhar Shaikh, and Majhar Shaikh whose contracts were cancelled earlier, had sent its two employees to Manohar Enterprises to adulterate samosa to defame and sabotage the Manohar enterprise.
Later, a case has been registered under IPC sections 328 (causing harm by means of poison) and 120B (criminal conspiracy).
