New Delhi: Well known journalist and author Anil Dharker passed away on Friday morning. He was reportedly suffering from a cardiac illness.
Dharker was the Founder and Director of the Mumbai International Literary Festival, which is held in November every year. He was also the Founder and Director of Literature Live! which holds literary evenings through the year in different locations in Mumbai.
Dharker has been the editor of a variety of publications, starting with Debonair, Mid-day and Sunday Mid-day .The Independent, a morning broad-sheet from the Times of India group and The Illustrated Weekly of India.
He has also been a columnist for The Indian Express.
Following the news of his demise, heartfelt messages and condolences poured in on social media paying their last respects to the writer.
