Re-polling underway at 9 booths in Odisha today

Bhubaneswar: Re-polling is being held at nine booths under eight assembly constituencies of Odisha, where voting was disrupted over various reasons including VVPAT and EVMs glitches during the second phase of election on April 18.

The booths where re-polling started this morning are booth no. 129-Upar Pada Kendrikela UG UP school (Bonai AC/Sundargarh PC), 213-Rangadhipa UP school (Sundargarh AC/Sundargarh PC), 210-Bahadajhola (Daspalla AC/Kandhamal PC), 222-Betanati (Daspalla AC/Kandhamal PC), 235-Areigudi (Attabira AC/Bargarh PC), 68-Shakti Nagar Primary School (Bargarh AC/Bargarh PC), 16-Dava (Padampur AC/Bargarh PC), 254-Charmal Project Upper Primary School (Brajarajnagar AC/Bargarh PC) and 182-Renti (Surada AC/Aska PC).

Notably, Odisha Chief Electoral Officer Surendra Kumar had informed the media about the re-polling date yesterday.

In the second phase of voting for the ongoing general election in the country, polling was held in five Lok Sabha seats and 35 assembly constituencies in Odisha.

While, re-polling will be conducted at booths no. 129, 210, 222 and 16 between 7 am and 4 pm, the same will continue till 6 pm at all other places.
