RBI, two other banks receive bomb threat mail in Mumbai

Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India received a threatening email on Tuesday that said that bombs have been planted in RBI office, HDFC bank and ICICI bank. The sender demanded resignation of the RBI Governor and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. ANI informed the matter in an X post today.
As per reports, the said threat mail sent to RBI mentioned that bombs have been planted at as many as eleven places in Mumbai. In the mail it was demanded that RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman should resign.
However, Police rushed to all those places and took up investigation, but no bomb was found. It turned out to be a hoax threat.
A case has been registered and the probe is underway, Mumbai Police said in a statement.
