Criminal shots UP police constable to death during raid
Police constable who sustained bullet injuries after a criminal shot him during raid in UP succumbed on Tuesday morning.
Kannauj: A police constable who sustained critical bullet injuries after a criminal shot him during raid in Kannauj village succumbed on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, the accused, identified as Ashok alias Munna Yadav along with his family members opened fire at the police team that came to their place for raid with non bailable warrant (NBW). During the open fire, one bullet hit the constable, identified as Sachin Rathi.
Constable Sachin Rathi was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital. However, he succumbed to bullet injuries on Tuesday morning. The Superintendent of Police (SP) of Kannauj confirmed the death of the constable. He also confirmed that Munna along with his wife Shyama were taken into custody.
Reportedly, the accused has around 20 criminal cases against him with history sheet 40A in Chibramau. Further investigation is underway.
