Power Outage Affects Major Cities Of Pakistan As Lightning Strikes Country

New Delhi: Lightning struck Pakistan at night. Many major cities remained in the dark. There was a major power outage yesterday. In Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Multan and other cities, people spent the night in the dark.

According to local media reports, power outages were also felt in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Mobile and internet services were disrupted. Jinnah International Airport in Karachi was also affected by the power outage.

The Pakistan Ministry of Energy said the power outage system had been cut off nationwide due to a sudden drop in frequency. The mechanical fault occurred at around 11.41pm.
