PM Modi inaugurates integrated check post of Kartarpur Corridor in Punjab

Amritsar: PM Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Integrated Check Post of the Kartarpur Corridor at Dera Baba Nanak in Punjab’s Gurdaspur.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister has said that opening of Kartarpur Corridor and Integrated Check Post would bring double happiness. He said it will be easy to pay obeisance at Darbar Sahib Gurudwara after the opening of Kartarpur Corridor.

PM Modi also thanked Pakistani counterpart Imran Khan for understanding India’s sentiment.

Meanwhile, the first Jatha of Sikh pilgrims has entered Pakistan through Kartarpur Corridor, a short while ago.

Earlier, the Prime Minister flagged off the first batch of over 500 Indian pilgrims led by Akal Takhat Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib through the corridor.

PM reached Amritsar airport this morning and paid obeisance at historic Ber Sahib Gurdwara, before heading to Dera Baba Nanak.
