New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated his Bangladesh counterpart Shiekh Hasina for her historic win in the recently-concluded Parliamentary elections.
The Prime Minister of India took to his X (formerly called Twitter) and said, “Spoke to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and congratulated her on her victory for a historic fourth consecutive term in the Parliamentary elections.”
PM Modi also congratulated the citizens of Bangladesh for successful conduct of polls. He added, “We are committed to further strengthen our enduring and people-centric partnership with Bangladesh.”
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has won an overwhelming majority in Bangladesh’s parliamentary election, giving her party — the Awami League — a fourth consecutive term, the media reported, citing an election official.
