Over 7 crore unaccounted cash seized in Hyderabad, 7 held

Hyderabad: In a major breakthrough, the Hyderabad Task Force and Saifabad Police arrested four persons after seizing Rs 7,51,10,300 unaccounted cash from them today.

Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police, in a press meet, said that police officials conducted raids at different places this morning during which the unaccounted cash was seized and four persons were arrested.

Apart from recovering the cash, police also seized a car, three mobile phones, a MacBook, an iPad, a laptop, 30 chequebooks and a note counting machine during the search operations.

The city police have registered a case against the arrested persons and sought the help from the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Department for investigation purposes.

Meanwhile, it is speculated that the seized money was about to be used in the upcoming state elections.
