Naxals Blow Up Railway Track In Jharkhand
Ranchi: The Naxals blew up a railway track between Sonua and Chakradharpur affecting train services in Jharkhand on Sunday night.
According to reports, on Sunday at around 2 to 3 a.m., the Naxals exploded a bomb on the tracks due to which the railway track was damaged and the signalling system stopped functioning.
The anti-sabotage check has been done and the restoration work has been completed jointly by district police, Bomb Detection & Disposal Squad, Railway Protection Force (RPF) & railway track-men.
The traffic has been restored on other tracks, said Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chaibasa town.
