Myanmar plane crash: 6 injured after flight skids off runway at airport in Mizoram
6 people sustained injuries after a military plane from Myanmar skidded off the runway before halting at the Lenpui Airport in Mizoram.
Mizoram: In a tragic incident, at least six people sustained severe injuries after a military plane from Myanmar skidded off the runway before halting at the Lenpui Airport Terminal in Mizoram. The incident took place on Tuesday morning, said reliable reports in this regard.
The incident took place at about 10:20 AM on Tuesday. Reliable reports state that a total of 14 people were onboard the plane when the accident took place.
Reportedly, the plane from Myanmar was scheduled to take Myanmar soldiers who had fled from Lawngtlai district following clash between Myanmar and Civilian Army.
The Myanmar plane crashed and skidded off the runway after landing at the Lengpui Airport in Mizoram. News agency ANI shared a video of the incident.

The injured in the Myanmar plane crash were rushed to the Lengpui Hospital in Mizoram for immediate medical assistance.
In other news, about 276 Myanmarese soldiers had entered into Mizoram last week amid the ongoing ethnic clashes. 184 of them were sent back on January 22.
