Modi appeals people to vote for ‘double engine’ government in Odisha

Jeypore: PM Narendra Modi took a pot-shot at the ruling BJD government in Odisha during his address at Bankabija ground and asked people can a government embroiled in chit fund scam, in a nexus with mining mafias and failed to punish criminal be able to give them good governance.

PM was starting BJP’s poll campaign in the state and was addressing a gathering when claimed, only BJP can bring transformation to Odisha if voted to power. To substantiate his claims Modi highlighted BJP government’s achievements at the Centre in last five years and said, it has provided gas connections to 40 lakh houses under Ujjwala Yojana and electrified 24 lakh houses of 3,000 villages in Odisha.

Modi, who mesmerized the audience with his oratory skills and started his speech in Odia by saying ‘Jay Jagannath, Apana Maane Kemiti Achhanti’ also came down heavily upon the Opposition parties at the Centre for not acknowledging the 2016 surgical strike and the recent air strike in Pakistan’s Balakot.

Modi has urged the voters of Odisha to vote for double engine governments led by BJP at both the Centre and the State.
