A man studied law and proved himself to be innocent after being accused for 12 years in connection with murder case in Baghpat of UP.

Lucknow: A man studied law and proved himself to be innocent after being accused for 12 years in connection with murder case in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. The man has been identified as Amit Chaudhary.

According to reports, in 2011, when Amit was at his sister-in-laws’ house in Baghpat, two police officials were attacked by a group of people. Among the two cops, one died. Following the incident, seventeen people were charged. Amit was one among the accused.

During that time, Amit was pursuing graduation. However, this incident led him to end up in jail. After two years of jail, he walked out of the prison on bail. After being freed, he pursued LLM to handle his own case by himself. With much dedication, he won his own case and was declared not guilty after 12 years of murder.

Speaking to media, he expressed his desire to help people who have been wrongly implicated in cases and are imprisoned.
