Madhya Pradesh: In a tragic incident, 14 people lost their lives while 21 others were injured in an accident in Madhya Pradesh. The accident took place in Dindori district, under the limits of Shahpura police station, said reliable reports in this regard.
According to reports, the pickup van carrying passengers was returning from a ‘godh bharai’ function when the accident took place. Reportedly, the driver of the van lost control of the vehicle, due to which it overturned.
The injured people were rushed to the Community Health Centre in Shahpura for immediate medical attention. Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased have been sent for port mortem. The identities of the deceased in the Madhya Pradesh road accident are yet to be ascertained.
Officials from the local police station arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter.
After the road accident, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. Further, he has also announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the beavered families. Moreover, he also instructed the cabinet minister Sampatiya Uikey to overlook the rescue operations in Dindori.
