Ujjain: In a disturbing incident, a school principal allegedly thrashed two students with a cricket bat for playing inside the classroom. The shocking incident unfolded at Kheda Khajuriya school in Ujjain of Madhya Pradesh. A video of the incident was captured where the principal, Uday Singh Chauhan, was seen thrashing the students with a bat.

The distressing footage was recorded from outside a window. It has prompted the education department to initiate an investigation into the matter. The victims have been identified as students in 10th grade.

Reportedly, they were engaged in a game of cricket when the principal intervened, snatching the bat and subjecting them to physical assault. Despite one student apologizing in the video, the principal did not stop. The accused principal Uday Singh Chauhan defends himself by claiming the video is eight months old and alleges that the students involved were mischievous troublemakers who had caused disruptions in the past. He asserts that his actions were aimed at instilling fear rather than inflicting forceful beatings.

As of now, no complaints have been filed by the parents of the affected students. The Assistant District Project Coordinator (ADPC) from the education department has assured that the matter is under consideration, and appropriate action will be taken following a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the assault.
