KIIT Law School bags ‘Legal Education Innovation Award 2018’

New Delhi: KIIT Law School, Bhubaneswar has been conferred with ‘Legal Education Innovation Award 2018’ here on Saturday on the occasion of Law Teacher’s Day.

Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu presented the prestigious award to KIIT Law School at a special function, organised by Society of Indian Law Farms and Menon Institute of Legal Advocacy Training, here on the occasion.

Prof. N. K. Chakraborty, Director, KIIT School of Law received the award from the Vice President.

Every year the Society of Indian Law Farms and Menon Institute of Legal Advocacy jointly confer this award to best Law institutions of the country.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice President shared his experience during his visit to KIIT Deemed University and conveyed his good wishes to KIIT Law School for this award.

Naidu also asked the legal practitioners to continuously their knowledge to capture the subtle nuances of laws and regulations.

He said, in today’s world, lawyers will have to undertake several roles in society and have to discharge several jobs directly or indirectly connected with law

KIIT Law School is the only private Law institution in India to get such prestigious award.

The private-run institution  is the first law school of the country which has implemented the curricula recommended by the Bar Council of India of 2009.

Earlier in 2013 and 2017, KIIT Law School students proved their excellence by getting best prizes in various National Moot Court Competitions organized by Bar Council of India (BCI).

KIIT and  KISS founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta congratulated KIIT Law School for winning this award. He said, this success will continue to inspire the students and faculties of KIIT Law School.
