India reports rise in Covid-19 cases,active cases jump to 83,990

New-Delhi: India on Thursday registered 13,313 new coronavirus infections taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 4,33,44,958, according to data shared by the Union Health Ministry.

The death toll climbed to 5,24,941 with 38 new fatalities in the last 24 hours.

The new cases marked an increase from the previous day’s nearly 12,000 new cases, while the daily positivity rate saw a dip from 3.94 per cent to 2.03 per cent.

The country saw a total of 10,972 discharges in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery rate at around 98.60 per cent and total recoveries data reached to 4,27,36,027.

The total active cases of COVID-19 in India have risen to 83,990. Yesterday, the registered active cases were 81,687.
