New Delhi: India registered 46,759 daily Covid cases in the last 24 hours, said the Covid bulletin released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday taking the tally to 3,26,49,947. Kerala alone recorded 32,801 fresh Covid positives in last 24 hours.
The death toll due to Covid in the country stands at 4,37,370 currently including 509 deaths in last 24 hours. Out of the total reported Covid deaths today, 179 patients succumbed to the deadly virus in Kerala only.
As many as 31,374 patients recovered in the country which took the total recoveries to 3,18,52,802. India has achieved the recovery rate of 97.56 per cent.
The active caseload currently stands at 3,59,775 which constitute 1.06 per cent of total cases, as per the bulletin released by the health ministry.
The weekly positivity rate remains below 3 per cent and is currently at 2.19 per cent. The daily positivity rate continues to remain below 3 per cent and currently stands at 2.66 per cent.
Meanwhile, a total of 62,29,89,134 doses of Covid vaccines have been jabbed including 1,03,35,290 in the last 24 hours, said the bulletin released by the ministry.
As many as 62,29,87,602 samples have been collected up-to August 27 including 17,61,110 samples in the last 24 hours, informed ICMR.
