India reports 36,571 Covid positives, Recovery rate currently at 97.54 %

New Delhi: India registered 36,571 daily Covid cases in the last 24 hours, said the Covid bulletin released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday.

The death toll due to Covid in the country stands at 4,33,589 currently.

India has achieved the recovery rate of 97.54 per cent, which is highest since March 2020.

The active caseload currently stands at 3,63,605. The active caseloads constitute 1.12 per cent of total cases, as per the bulletin released by the health ministry.

As per the data, total 36,555 patients were discharged from the hospitals and health centres in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cured to 3,15,61,635 till date in India.

The weekly positivity rate remains below 3 per cent and is currently at 1.93 per cent. The daily positivity rate continues to remain below 3 per cent for 25 continuous days and currently stands at 1.94 per cent.

Meanwhile, a total of 57.22 crore doses of vaccines were administered, said the bulletin released by the ministry.

As many as 50,26,99,702 samples have been collected up-to August 19 including 18,86,271 samples in the last 24 hours, informed ICMR.
