New Delhi: A goods train derailed today after rockslides on the Koraput- Kothavalasa rail track near the Shibalingapuram area of Andhra Pradesh. The incident occurred between Aarku and Kothavalasa near Shibalingapuram, causing the derailment of one bogie and the engine. No loss of life has been reported in this accident.
Railway authorities have been informed and a rescue train has been dispatched to the site. The incident has disrupted train services, leading to the diversion of four trains.
The Kirandul Visakhapatnam passenger train has been temporarily canceled from both sides, while three other trains have been diverted through Rayagada to reach Vishakapatnam.
