An earthquake of 3.4 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted Guwahati in Assam during the early morning hours on Wednesday.
Assam: An earthquake of 3.4 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted Guwahati in Assam during the early morning hours on Wednesday. The quake was experienced at around 5:42 AM, the National Center for Seismology confirmed.
Reports from the NCS state that the earthquake originated at 26.63 latitude and 92.08 longitude. Further, the quake originated from five kilometres beneath the earth surface.
