New Delhi: An earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale hit Chamoli district of Uttarakhand in the wee hours of Saturday, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) informed.
Before this, a light intensity earthquake of magnitude 4.9 struck the Nicobar Islands at 12:35 am on Saturday.
No loss of property or life has been reported so far. Further details are awaited.
