Covid-19 Vaccination In India: Know How To Register On CoWIN Portal

The third phase of Covid vaccination started from today and the CoWIN portal also started the self-registration for the 27 crore eligible for the shots, who are above 60 and those above 45 years with comorbidities.

The massive inoculation drive against the Covid-19 disease in this phase was lead from the front on the day as Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the jab at AIIMS here today.

Eligible beneficiaries can register at the Co-WIN 2.0 portal through their mobile number following a step-by-step process. After registration, the application will show the government and private hospitals serving as Covid Vaccination Centres (CVC) with the date and time of the available schedules.

The beneficiary would be able to choose the CVC of his/her choice and book an appointment for vaccination.

Here is a step by step process to register for the Covid-19 vaccine on Co WIN portal:

  • Use Co-Win app, Aarogya Setu app, or log on to cowin.gov.in
  • Enter your mobile number
  • Get an OTP to create your account
  • Fill in your name, age, gender and upload an identity document
  • If 45+, upload doctor’s certificate as comorbidity proof
  • Choose centre, date
  • Up to 4 appointments can be made by one mobile number

Other options are also available for senior citizens who are not tech-savvy: They can go to common service centres and get themselves registered. A call centre number – 1507 – can also be availed for the same.
