Ranchi: In a tragic road accident in Jharkhand’s Giridih city, five people lost their lives while five others have been reported injured. The accident took place after the car carrying the passengers rammed into a nearby tree.
The unfortunate event happened during the early hours of Saturday morning. Reportedly, the group was returning home from a wedding in Tikodih.
The victims were travelling in a Scorpio car when the car crashed at around 3 am near Baghmara village. The road accident in Jharkhand left the car completely damaged.
Reports from reliable sources state that local people immediately rushed to the spot. Despite efforts, five occupants of the car, including two children, could not survive.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem. Meanwhile, the injured individuals have been shifted to a nearby medical and are undergoing necessary treatment. An investigation into the matter has been initiated. Further details awaited.
