2 earthquakes jolt Maharashtra’s Hingoli city in a gap of 10 minutes
Mumbai: Two earthquakes, within a span of 10 minutes, struck Maharashtra’s Hingoli city during the early hours of Thursday, said reports in this regard. The first quake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale was felt at around 6:08 AM on Thursday.
The National Centre of Seismology took to their official handle on X to inform about the earthquake in Maharashtra. Reportedly, the quake originated at 19.48 Latitude and 77.30 Longitude, at a depth of 10 kilometer.
Minutes after the first quake, tremors of magnitude 3.5 on the Richter scale were felt in the same region. The second earthquake jolted Hingoli in Maharashtra at about 6:19 AM. In a separate post on X, NCS wrote, “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.6, Occurred on 21-03-2024, 06:19:05 IST, Lat: 19.41 & Long: 77.32, Depth: 10 Km ,Location: Hingoli, Maharashtra”
It is noteworthy mentioning that no damage to property or loss of life has been reported yet.
