13 arrested for group clash at Mira Road in Mumbai

Around 13 people were arrested after two groups clashed during a vehicle rally at Mira Road on the outskirts of Mumbai.

Mumbai: Around 13 people were arrested after two groups clashed during a vehicle rally at Mira Road on the outskirts of Mumbai.

According to reports, a group of 10-12 people in cars and motorcycles has taken out a rally on Sunday night to celebrated Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.  However, another group objected to the noise due to rally and soon clash broke out between the two groups.

After receiving information about the matter, police reached the spot and arrested 13 people involved in the clash. Further investigation into the incident is underway.

Speaking about the incident, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “There will be zero tolerance against anyone who tries to take the law in their own hands and attempts to disturb the law & order situation in Maharashtra.”
