The final countdown has begun for the much-awaited Ministry Reshuffle in Odisha with CM Naveen Patnaik giving the final nod to the shake-up to boost governance as well as party’s organisational strength.
Political circle is already abuzz with Gainers and Losers although there is no official word yet. However, it’s certain that some of the incumbent Ministers will get the boot and new faces may be included.
According to sources, Ministers Lal Bihari Himirika and Jogendra Behera as well as Speaker Niranjan Pujari may be asked to submit their resignation. A few other Ministers may also be asked to work for the organisation. Pushpendra Singhdeo, Snehangini Chhuria and Sudam Marandi are among the few Ministers that are in the danger zone. Even, the position of School & Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra is said to be in danger.
Pratap Jena, Dr. Rasewari Panigrahi, Raja Swain, Padmanav Behera are among the probables who may get a nod to join Naveen Patnaik’s Cabinet. Some sources close to BJD claim that Minister Arun Sahoo may resign to focus more on organisational work.
It is believed that Naveen Patnaik will take some drastic steps in order to boost the morale of the cadres and rejuvenate the party in those districts where party failed to make a good impact in the recently held panchayat polls.
