Fisherman Catches Extremely Rare Blue Lobster, Releases It Back To The Ocean
A fisherman caught a rare blue lobster during his time in the ocean. The possibility of this is said to be 'one in two million.'
Oceans are filled with amazing secrets and various underwater creatures, the world has only discovered a few of them. Recently, a fisherman was lucky enough to catch such a rare water animal during his time in the ocean.
A lucky fisherman named Lars Johan from Portland, Maine, made an amazing discovery when he realized he’d caught a blue lobster in the United States. The possibility of this is said to be ‘one in two million.’ The incredibly rare crustacean has since been returned to the ocean.
Sharing an image of the creature, Lars tweeted, “This blue Lobster was caught off the coast of Portland yesterday and returned to the water to continue to grow. Blue lobsters are one in 2 million.”

After the pictures of the rare lobster surfaced online, they went viral among netizens. One person wrote, “I was “today years old” when I discovered blue lobsters” and another comment read, “In Australia, we have a similar blue freshwater crayfish that you can only find up in the rainforest here behind the Gold Coast called the Lamington Spiny Crayfish – always fun to spot one in the wild.”
