Beauty queen Kalpasa donates for cyclone victims

Balasore: Miss Balasore 2012 Ankita Kalpasa Shaw has extended helping hand to cyclone Fani victims. Lately, she donated Rs. 10,000 to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Besides, she also provided food to a cyclone affected village in Khordha.

Ankita is not only a beauty queen, but she also is a social worker.  Under the aegis of Kalpasa Ankita Shaw Foundation, she has been doing social work to help out the needy persons. She often visits orphanages in Balasore to spend some time with the children and to provide them food, gifts, and stationaries.

Lately, the beauty queen handed over a check of Rs.10, 000 to Sri Ramesh Chandra Rout, District Collector, Balasore to help the cyclone victims. Her mother Mrs. Rashmi Das was also with her.

Talking to Kalinga TV web Ankita said, “I cannot see my own people in distress. It becomes our duty to help out our fellow brothers, who have been affected by the recent cyclone. I would like to stand by their side in this moment of distress. Odisha is my home and I am doing my share of duty for the victims, who are like my family members. I also request others to join hands together in this aspect.”

 

Kalpasa rose to fame after being crowned as Miss Balasore in 2012. Later the gorgeous girl bagged many titles including the Miss Odisha Perfect and Miss Photogenic in 2013. Probably, she is the first Odia girl whose portrait, named ‘Dream Girl’, has got a place at the Australia Art Gallery. She is the brand ambassador for Aroma Naturals beauty brand. She has been voted as the most beautiful woman in a survey. On the other hand, she has also grabbed recognition thanks to her social work.
