Bhubaneswar: Malayalam actress Priya Prakash Varrier, better known as the ‘Wink girl’ has beaten Bollywood celebrity Sunny Leone.
The 18-year-old actress, who got the stardom with her wink in a video clip from the movie ‘Oru Adaar Love’ left Bollywood celebrity Sunny Leone behind to top the list of Google’s most searched celebrities in India.
Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra’s husband Nick Jonas and singer Sapna Choudhary grabbed the second and third spot of the most searched celebrities of the year.
Sapna was followed by Priyanka Chopra, while Anand Ahuja, actress Sonam Kapoor’s husband, was the next one.
The other top trending searches on Google were – how to send stickers on WhatsApp, how to port mobile number, how to link Aadhaar with mobile number and how to invest in bitcoin.
This apart, section 377, what is kiki challenge, what is me too campaign and what is ball tampering were in Google’s most searched list.
Sports and entertainment dominated the top trending charts with queries around FIFA World Cup 2018 leading the pack followed by the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Intestinally, several Bollywood films like ‘Robot 2.0’, ‘Baaghi 2’ and ‘Race 3’ grabbed the first three places surpassing even the Hollywood blockbusters.
In the song category, Neha Kakkar’s ‘Dilbar Dilbar’, Arijit Singh’s ‘Tera Fitoor’ and Atif Aslam’s ‘Dekhte Dekhte’ ruled the top searched Bollywood songs.
