UP Police Visit Sonakshi Sinha’s House for Inquiry about Fraud Case

Mumbai: On Thursday Uttar Pradesh Police tried to reach to the Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha by paying a visit to her house regarding an inquiry about a fraud case registered against her at Katghar police station.

It was the part of a procedure of the on-going investigation for a case in which the Rowdy Rathore Actress is alleged for Fraud and Cheating. The actor allegedly received payment for an event to which later she did not show up.

The event was scheduled to take place on September 2018.  The case for Fraud and Cheating was registered in February 2019 against Sonakshi along with four others.

As per allegations, the actor along with four others received a payment of Rs 24 lakhs for a stage performance but did not turn up. The case was registered under Section 420 (Cheating) and Section 406 (Punishment for Criminal Breach of Trust) of Indian Penal Code, reported ANI.

The actress was last seen in the multi-starrer film ‘Kalank’ in April this year. Soon she will be seen in her upcoming film ‘Khandaani Shafakhana’ which is all set to be released on August 2 this year.
