‘Squid Game: The Challenge,’ a brand new show to premiere on Netflix

A reality show based on the popular Korean Drama 'Squid Game' is set to premiere on the OTT giant Netflix on November 2023

South Korean drama ‘Squid Game,’ is one of the most liked tv series of 2022. Its unique and strong storyline along with the excellent performances of the cast was loved by people worldwide. This is why, ever since the director of the show Hwang Dong-hyuk announced the making of its season two, people have been eagerly waiting for the second installment of their favourite K-drama.

The wait is finally over for the fans, as the show is about to make a comeback on the streaming giant Netflix. However, the upcoming series will have no murder or bloodshed like last season but the makers promise to entertain the audience with a new concept.

The second season of the franchise has been titled “Squid Game: The Challenge,” and it will be a reality show offshoot of the famous Korean web series, and will hit the OTT platform in November.

According to the sources, the reality show will feature 456 people participating in various harmless activities, and the one who wins is given an amount of $ 4.56 million as a prize.

Earlier, the reality show got embroiled in a controversy when some people complained about some of the games being less than ideal even though they were found to be entertaining considering the nature of the show.

For those unversed, Squid Game is a popular K-Drama based on a survival game set on an unknown island where people are left with no way out. The plot includes a bunch of selected people who are invited to participate in a survival game that ends with one person winning the prize money -38 million US dollars. The characters of the show are imprisoned on the island until the game is completed.
