Shilpa Shetty Announces her Big Comeback after 13 Years

Mumbai: Shilpa Shetty Kundra is all set to make a comeback on the big screen after thirteen long years. The ‘Dhadkan’ actress will be seen in a crucial role in Sabbir Khan’s action-entertainer film ‘Nikamma’ starring Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia.

Mrs Kundra took on Instagram to share the good news with her fans. She posted saying, “Yesssssssss, it’s true! My sabbatical of 13 long years comes to an end.. I am so excited to announce that the film you will see me next in is #Nikamma, directed by @sabbir24x7 (cast still being finalised) featuring these amazing and talented actors @abhimanyud @shirleysetia @sonypicturesin. Need all your blessings  and Thank you for all the love  always”

Shilpa has been a part of the small screen as a reality show judge. Prior to that, she was seen in 2007 Blockbuster film ‘Apne’ playing a major role alongside Sunny Deol.

Speaking of her comeback, the gorgeous star told a leading daily, “It feels great. I am ready to take the plunge again. It’s a refreshing and unique project, and I am looking forward to working with Sabbir. I loved my role as it’s something that I have never attempted before. I can’t wait for the audience to see me in a new avatar.”

Director and the film’s co-producer Sabbir Khan told that “Shilpa was very clear that her comeback would have to be with a worthy role. It’s a dynamic part and I am happy to have her on board and bring her back for her fans who have missed her.”

‘Nikamma’ is set to be released in the summer of 2020. And we can’t wait to see Shilpa Shetty on the silver screen again.
