Shah Rukh Khan offers prayers at Vaishno Devi shrine ahead of ‘Dunki’ release

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan offered prayers at the Vaishno Devi Temple in Katra ahead of the release of his film 'Dunki.'

On December 11, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan offered prayers at the Vaishno Devi Temple in Katra. It seems that visiting this holy shrine has become a mandatory tradition for the star ahead of the release of his films. Earlier, he had also visited the temple ahead of the release of ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan.’ This marks Shah Rukh Khan’s third visit to the shrine.

What’s interesting about this visit is the fact the SRK went incognito! In a video that has surfaced online, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen donning a big black jacket and cap to keep his identity hidden. Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film, ‘Dunki,’ is slated for global theatrical release on December 21.

Exactly a year back, Shah Rukh Khan visited the Vaishno Devi shrine ahead of the release of ‘Pathaan.’ The film marked his grand return on the screen after a break of four years. ‘Pathaan’ also earned over Rs 1055 crore at the global box office.

The next time Shah Rukh visited Vaishno Devi temple in the month of August before the release of ‘Jawan.’ This film as well, proved to be a major success at the box office, crossing over Rs 1160 crores globally.

Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, the star-studded cast of the film also features Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover. ‘Dunki’ is produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan. It has been presented by Jio Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani films.
