The highly awaited movie of Salman Khan, Tiger 3 is set to be release on Diwali. The film follows in the footsteps of the mega success of Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathan” and “Jawan”, as well as Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2”.

Salman Khan returns to reprise his iconic role as the suave secret agent Avinash Singh Rathore, aka Tiger, after a six-year hiatus. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the third instalment of the franchise sees the return of Katrina Kaif as Zoya, alongside Emraan Hashmi in a brand new avatar.

YRF Films has adopted a strategic release plan for “Tiger 3” to leverage the festive Diwali weekend. The film is scheduled for release on Sunday, November 12, in both India and overseas territories aligning with exhibitors’ requests and capitalizing on the absence of a pre-Diwali impact in these markets.

Trade analysts have expressed differing views on the impact of this unique release strategy. Fans believe that while “Tiger 3” may not achieve an earth-shattering opening like “Pathan” or “Jawan,” it is still expected to have a substantial opening due to Salman Khan’s star power and the franchise’s popularity.

However, he notes that the Diwali holiday might affect its box office potential as people engage in home festivities, potentially impacting evening show attendance. Kadel suggests that a Monday release might have generated a larger opening.

With the extraordinary box office successes of “Pathan” and “Jawan,” each crossing the 1000 crore mark, the question arises: can “Tiger 3” surpass the dominance of these two films? Sumit Kadel predicts that “Tiger 3” will have the biggest Diwali day opening, estimating a range of 30 to 40 crore net, and possibly even higher due to Salman Khan’s stardom and the franchise’s brand value.

Beyond the opening, the film is projected to create a box office frenzy, with expectations of 60 crore or more in the next three days. Kadel’s projections indicate a strong box office potential for “Tiger 3,” with an estimated business of 500 to 600 crore, and the possibility of a worldwide gross of 1000 crore with strong word-of-mouth.
