‘Jawan’ sets record at Box Office, opens at Rs 150 crore worldwide

After a long wait, Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ finally hit the theatres on September 7. And guess what? The movie is a huge hit!

On the very first day, ‘Jawan’ has a set a record. The film earned a whopping Rs 75 crore at the Indian Box office. That is not all. Speaking about the worldwide collection, the film crossed the Rs 150 crore mark.

With all of this, ‘Jawan’ has become the biggest ever Bollywood opener. Jawan’s first day collection at the Box office has set record for Bollywood. It crossed Rs 75 crore across all languages in India.

For the Hindi version of the film, the theatres were around 60 percent full on Thursday. Nevertheless, Chennai saw the highest occupancy with 81 percent.

The trailer of ‘Jawan’ was released on August 31. The trailer showed SRK flaunting his action-packed moves in a way never seen before. While earlier, the teaser had offered a sneak peek into the movie’s world of grand actions, the trailer gave a much larger picture.

Helmed by ‘Atlee,’ the film showcases a star-studded cast. ‘Jawan’ features Vijay Sethupati, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and Ridhi Dogra among many more. It stars Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara in lead roles.

‘Jawan’ marks the second film of Shah Rukh Khan this year. The film is SRK’s most expensive project yet. The project reportedly cost Rs 300 crore, surpassing Pathaan’s 250 crore budget.
