Gully Boy Rapper MC Tod Fod Dies At 24; Ranveer Singh, Siddhant Chaturvedi mourns

‘Gully Boy’ Rapper Dharmesh Parmar, popularly known by his stage name MC Tod Fod, dies at the age of 24. The cause of his death is still unknown. He did the rap for the movie’s hit track India 91.

Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Siddhant Chaturvedi, who starred in Gully Boy, mourned Dharmesh’s passing. Ranveer took to his Instagram story to post a picture of the rapper along with a broken heart emoticon embedded on it.

Siddhant posted a picture of the deceased along with a screenshot of his last conversation with the late rapper. In his post, Siddhant wrote, “RIP bhai,” and put along with a broken-heart emoticon.

Gully Boy director Zoya Akhtar also posted a picture of the rapper on her Gram and wrote, “You have gone way too soon. I can only be grateful our paths crossed. Rest in peace Bantai. #mctodfod.”

Zoya’s production house, Tiger Baby Films, also paid tribute to the late rapper. The official Instagram handle of the production house shared a story remembering the young rapper. The post read, “In memory of Dharmesh Parmar AKA MC Tod Fod. Our Bantai, gone too soon.”

MC Tod Fod was a member of a band named Swadesi. The official page of the band shared a throwback video of one of their performances with Dharmesh to mourn his death. While sharing the post they wrote, “It was with this night that Tod Fod performed his last ever gig at Swadesi Mela. You had to be there to experience it, his thrill his love for playing live music. You are never forgotten, you will always live through with your music.”
