Mumbai: As per latest reports, the health condition of veteran actor Dilip Kumar is improving and he is recuperating in the ICU. The nonagenarian actor was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai after he complained of uneasiness and chest pain. Doctor’s report revealed that the actor was suffering from a minor bout of pneumonia.
Faisal Farooqui, who runs Dilip Kumar’s Twitter handle had informed about the actor’s illness on Wednesday through a tweet. He wrote- “Saab has been admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital as he was a bit uneasy due to a chest infection. He is recuperating. Requesting your duas and prayers- F.F”
Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu has been constantly by his side at the hospital. Speaking to PTI, she said- “He is doing better now. The medical reports are saying a small patch of pneumonia is there. God willing, he will be out of it soon. But he is doing fine.”
Notably, Dilip Kumar is one of the most legendary actors of Bollywood. Known for classics like Mughal-e-Azam, Naya Daur, Kohinoor and Ram aur Shyam, the 95-year-old actor last appeared in the 1998 film Qatil.
