Confirmed! Vivek Oberoi To Star In PM Narendra Modi’s Biopic
Mumbai: Actor Vivek Oberoi, who has been missing from the silver screen for quite some time now, will be seen portraying Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a biopic based on the latter. The biopic will be directed by Omung Kumar who had earlier directed films like‘Mary Kom’,‘Bhoomi’ and ‘Sarbjit.’
The film will go on floors in mid January. The first poster of the film will be out on January 7. This has been confirmed by trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Taran Adarsh wrote, “IT’S OFFICIAL… Vivekanand Oberoi (Vivek Oberoi) to star in Narendra Modi biopic, titled #PMNarendraModi… Directed by Omung Kumar… Produced by Sandip
The poster of the film will reportedly be released in 23 different languages and will be unveiled by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis. The event is scheduled to take place at the Garware Club House in South Mumbai. Apart from Vivek’s look, makers are also expected to announce the release date of the film.
For his portrayal of Narendra Modi, Vivek will be sporting several looks on the film, charting the journey of the Prime Minister from Gujarat to Delhi. Vivek will also attend special workshops for the film. As per reports, a major portion of the film will be shot in Gujarat, besides other places across the country.
