Aryan Khan bail plea: hearing in Bombay High Court today

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s bail plea hearing is set to continue today by the Bombay High court, in connection to the cruise drug raid case.

On Tuesday, senior advocate and former attorney general of India Mukul Rohatgi, who appeared on behalf of the 23-year-old, called his arrest “arbitrary.” In Aryan’s defence, the advocate told to the single-judge Bench of Justice Nitin W Sambre that the NCB has neither made any recovery of contraband from the star kid, nor has they found any sign of narcotics consumption from his medical examination.

Senior advocate Amit Desai, who also appeared for Aryan, said to the court that the Whatsapp chats between SRK’s son and his friend has been misinterpreted by the agency, the conversation was over online poker and not about drugs.

Aryan Khan was arrested on October 3 following a drug bust on the Mumbai Cordelia cruise ship, and has been denied bail thrice on the matter by Mumbai special court ever since. Apart from him, the agency has arrested over 19 accused in the case so far.
