Mumbai: As per latest information, director Shakun Batra is planning to cast Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt in his next film based on the life of late godman Bhagwan Rajneesh, popularly known as Osho. The rights for the movie have been brought by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and the film is in its scripting stage.
The makers are considering Alia Bhatt for the role of Maa Anand Sheela, who was the secretary of Osho. According to a report published in Filmfare, the makers are planning to take someone exceptionally talented in the younger lot of actors to star opposite Aamir Khan, as the actor is known to be a perfectionist with his work. The makers feel Alia Bhatt is supremely talented and she perfectly fits the bill perfect for Maa Anand Sheela’s role.
Post the success of Raazi, Alia Bhatt is on cloud nine. She is one of the top actresses at present and has some big projects like Kalank, Takht and Brahmastra in her kitty. The 25-year-old actress has impressed fans and critics with her powerful acting and has given back-to-back successful films like 2 States, Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya, Kapoor&Sons, Udta Punjab and Dear Zindagi.
On the other hand, Aamir Khan is gearing up for the release of his next titled ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, where he will be sharing screen with Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Sheikh.
It will be interesting to see Aamir and Alia create magic on the silver screen together in the Osho biopic.
