India sees huge decline in Covid cases, active tally at 25,178
India on Monday logged a decline with 1,839 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with the number of active cases stand at 25,178.
New Delhi: India on Monday recorded 1,839 new Covid 19 infections, while the active case count dropped to 25,178 according to the Union Health Ministry data updated.
The number of new cases of covid across the nation has been decreasing over the past few days.
Yesterday, the country saw a decline with 2,380 covid cases, while the number of active cases reported was 27,212.
A day before that, the country had reported 2,961 new coronavirus cases.
The death toll from the pandemic was recorded at 5,31,692 with 11 fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated.
The active cases now comprise 0.06 per cent of the total infections and the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.76 per cent, the ministry said.
With 6,861 recoveries, the number of people who have recuperated from the disease has increased to 4,44,14,599. The case fatality rate has been recorded at 1.18 per cent.
