Sensex gains over 350 points erasing opening downfall, Nifty near 21,650

The BSE Sensex was trading near 71,500 mark with a gain of over 354.12 points. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading at 21,627.10 today.

The Bombay Stock Exchange BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty Indian shares opened in red on Wednesday but soon after climbed into positive territory ahead of the U.S. Federal Reserve’s policy decision and commentary due later in the day. The BSE Sensex opened 58.60 points or 0.08% lower at 71,073.04 and the NSE Nifty 50 dropped 34.85 points or 0.16% at 21,487.25 points.

Later at 10.33 am, the BSE Sensex was trading near the 71,500 mark with a gain of over 354.12 points or 0.50 per cent. Meanwhile, the Nifty climbed over 105.00 points or 0.49 per cent while trading at 21,627.10 today.

The other sectors including Nifty Bank and Nifty It were also trading in green.

The major gainers on the Nifty 50 today are Tata Motors, Adani Ports, Coal India, ONGC, and Reliance. While L&T, Kotak Bank, Titan, ICICI Bank, and Axis Bank were the top laggards.
