Gold prices witness hike across major Indian cities on August 25

As on August 25 (Friday), 24 carat gold (10 grams) cost Rs 58,730 while 22 carat (10 grams) costs Rs 53,800 in India.

Bhubaneswar: Gold prices in India exhibited a noticeable rise today. As of August 25, 2023, the cost of 24 carat gold (10 grams) surged to Rs 58,730, while the price for 22 carat gold (10 grams) escalated to Rs 53,800.

This trend of price fluctuation was observed in key urban centers across the nation as well. In the capital city of Delhi, the rate for 24 carat gold (10 grams) stood at Rs 59,400, with 22 carat gold (10 grams) marked at Rs 54,540. In Kolkata, the price of 24 carat gold (10 grams) was quoted at Rs 59,400, and 22 carat gold (10 grams) was valued at Rs 54,300.

Similarly, in the financial hub of Mumbai, the price for 24 carat gold (10 grams) recorded Rs 59,230, while 22 carat gold (10 grams) rested at Rs 54,300. The city of Chennai witnessed gold rates at Rs 52,285 for 24 carat (10 grams) and Rs 47,927 for 22 carat (10 grams).

Adding to the overall trend, Bhubaneswar also saw an increase in gold prices. The cost of 24 carat gold (10 grams) marked at Rs 59,450, while the 22 carat variant (10 grams) was valued at Rs 54,500.
