TVS launches Apache RTR 310 in India at a starting price of Rs 2.43 lakh; Offers BTS customization too

TVS RTR 310 offers the already tested 312cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that is already present on the Apache RR 310 and BMW 310s.

TVS has launched the Apache RTR 310 in India at a starting price of Rs 2.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The top variant of the motorcycle costs Rs 2.64 lakh and TVS offers Built To Order (BTO) kit too. The launch of the motorcycle was long awaited as TVS lacked a naked sports bike in the 300cc segment.

Engine

TVS RTR 310 offers the already tested 312cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that is already present on the Apache RR 310 as well as BMW 310s. The motorcycle produces 35.6hp of peak power and 28.7Nm of maximum torque. The engine on the RTR 310 produces more power and torque figures than its cousins. It is paired with 6-speed gearbox and gets assist-and-slipper clutch too.

Underpinnings and Hardware

The RTR 310 gets a aluminum trellis frame that is light-weight and is present on the RR310. However, the rear subframe is quite different and offers a sharp look at the rear. The suspension setup on the RTR 310 include upside-down fork at the front and monoshock set-up at the rear. Both the wheels gets 17-inch wheels and dual compound radial tyres. The alloy wheels are 8 spoke dual coloured and there is adjustability for hand levers.

Features

We get a horizontal TFT screen of 5.0 inches which is quite different than the RR 310 (which has a vertical TFT screen). Some of the important features include LED headlight and tail-light, bi-directional quickshifter, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), heated and cooled seats as well as cruise control. TVS offers RTR310 with Built To Order (BTS) customization programme which means that customers can customize their motorcycle according to their interest.

The dynamic LED headlamps gets 3 levels of light intensity which changes on the basis of speed. The tail lamp rapidly flashes when the rider makes hard braking.

There are five riding modes on the motorcycle too and that includes Urban, Rain, Sports, Track and Supermoto mode. SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity on the TVS Apache RTR 310 include music control, smart helmet connectivity, voice assist, turn by turn navigation, digi docs, crash alert and much more.
